Our Mission

Enable people to lead a healthier lifestyle and contribute to a more sustainable planet.

As consumers, we all crave high-quality products for our homes and workplaces. There’s a way to satisfy that need while not ignoring the impact product production has on the planet. It’s called Shades of Green.

Shades of Green is committed to creating healthier living spaces by sourcing and selling only non-toxic, environmentally-friendly products, offering green design consultation, and providing the latest information on green building products and practices.

A vital part of our mission is to offer customers smart choices and real value through honest and transparent details about the toxic chemicals we are exposed to in many widely-used, conventionally-made products.

Shades of Green researches, identifies, and evaluates safer, healthier higher performing, and more environmentally responsible alternatives to common and conventionally formulated products – bringing them to market at the best prices possible.

Our Core Beliefs

● Shades of Green is a sustainable shopping platform that simultaneously educates customers on the best eco-friendly practices and quality products available. The Shades of Green brand is driven by a set of core values that propel how we operate and curate our products and services.

● To provide transparency and honest appraisal for our customers

● To understand that brand trust is built upon the honesty and transparency of the information we gather from our vendors or is publicly available

● To improve our environment for the common good through planetary stewardship

● To support conscious consumerism

● To engage in sustainable community building

● To encourage and support artisans and businesses in the design and production of healthier, sustainable products

● The impact of one - Each individual has a key part to play in keeping themselves and the planet healthy, and can make an immediate and often sizable contribution to both. Shades of Green guides and empowers customers through some of these choices.

Team

Angela Wade

Owner/CEO

As the founder of Shades of Green, Angela brings design sensibility and brand trust to the sustainable marketplace with a focus on curated and evaluated home décor and on-the-go essentials.

After overcoming a health challenge at age 6, Angela’s family looked for a healthier way to live. This seedling notion carried from homeopathic and naturopathic medicine to how she views the world.

As a result of her broad travels, Angela has recognized that there are different local and regional levels of understanding on how we can best lead a healthier life, while making a positive impact on our planet. By developing the Shades of Green proprietary Product Evaluation System, consumers are provided with a level of education to make more informed decisions when purchasing sustainable products.

With Shades of Green, Angela is building a lightweight, flexible business that will continually adapt to the health and environmental consciousness of her customers and the contemporary marketplace. Her sense of style and practical approach to sustainability are the company’s defining backbone.

Angela is an award-winning horseback rider in the AQHA industry, having achieved numerous national and international championship titles. As the title sponsor of Heroes on Horses at the world’s largest single breed horse show, Angela supports the rehabilitation of veterans through riding. A champion in and out of the arena, Angela brings her focus and passion to green living.
